Konda Couple Regain Jagan Confidence

After being shunted into loop line for some time, Konda couple – former minister Konda Surekha and her husband, former MLC Konda Murali, are back into action in the YSR Congress party.

According to party sources, both Surekha and her husband would be contesting the assembly elections on behalf of YSR Congress party. While Surekha has been made party coordinator for Parkal assembly constituency, Murali would be the in-charge for Bhoopalpally constituency and would contest against government chief whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy.

The Konda couple, though had been staunch loyalists of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and supporters of Jaganmohan Reddy, had been sulking for quite some time as they had some issues on money matters with the latter. Moreover, Surekha was trying to dominate the party in the entire Warangal district and was telling everybody that she would contest from Warangal parliamentary constituency in the next elections.

This was not taken kindly by Jagan, who started sidelining her. A sulking Surekha kept herself away from party activities and she did not even participate in the indefinite fast taken up by Y S Vijayalakshmi on power tariff hike issue recently. Now with the appointment of Surekha as party in-charge for Parkal, it looks like her issues with the Jagan family seem to have been settled. However, Jagan has confined her only to Parkal and entrusted the parliamentary constituency to another leader Adi Srinivas.
